Job summary

We are CCH. ICCM, part of CCH, seeks a caring Complex Care Assistant to support a 20-year-old client in a family home in Northampton as part of a 2:1 care package.

The role includes personal care, PEG feeding and medication administration, seizure monitoring, moving and handling, suctioning as required, and engaging in sensory activities. No complex prior experience needed – full training and ongoing clinical support are provided.

Qualifications

• No complex care experience is required; full training and ongoing clinical support are provided.
• You’ll receive comprehensive onboarding to develop in key complex care areas.
• Flexible work patterns and clear progression within CCH.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to the client in her family home.
• Administer PEG feeding and medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and manage seizures; respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with moving and handling safely.
• Perform suctioning as required during shifts.
• Engage in sensory play, arts and crafts, story time and outings.

Job description

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Shifts: Various shifts available | 9.00 - 21.00 / 9.00 - 17.00 / 17.00 - 21.00 | Monday to Friday and occasional Sunday shift

Driver required: A driver is not required for this role.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Complex Care Assistant to support our 20-year-old client as part of a 2:1 care package in her family home.

Our client is a young woman living with drug-resistant epilepsy due to cortical dysplasia, experiencing multiple types of seizures. Your role will be varied and rewarding, involving:

• Personal care
• PEG feeding and medication administration
• Seizure monitoring and management
• Moving and handling
• Suctioning (as required)
• Engaging in sensory play, arts and crafts, story time, and outings

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and enthusiasm to every shift. If you’re someone who values building meaningful relationships, enjoys creative play and engaging activities, and can deliver attentive, high-quality care - we’d love to hear from you.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a non-smoker, comfortable working in a home with a pet dog, and available for both weekday and weekend day shifts.
