Job summary

Lighthouse Lodge Care Home in New Brighton, part of Care Concern Group, is looking for a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and nutrition in a warm, person-centred setting.

You will work with a supportive team, follow care plans, and help ensure dignity and wellbeing. Alternating weekends are required, with full training and ongoing development available.

• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to maintain safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, respectful environment.
• Provide care that supports dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Participate in training and ongoing development.

Job description

Lighthouse Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 80 bed care home in New Brighton, Merseyside, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 36 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
