Job summary

Connected Health is hiring a Care Assistant in Limavady and surrounding areas to provide compassionate in-home support. No prior experience required as accredited training and ongoing development are provided.

You will work with clients in their own homes, delivering daily living support while building a meaningful career in homecare. This role emphasizes dignity, independence, and professional care, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in homecare is helpful but not essential.
• Good standard of English (written and spoken).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own car.
• Available to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support per service user care plan.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report changes in a service user's condition to the supervisor.
• Complete care records and timesheets as required.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings.

Who We're Looking For

Experience: Previous experience in homecare is helpful but not essential

Communication Skills: Good standard of English, both written and spoken

Driver Requirement: Must have a valid driver's licence and access to your own car

Flexibility: Must be available to work alternative weekends

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support in line with each service user's individual care plan, preferences and needs.
• Respect service users' dignity, independence and choices at all times.
• Maintain professional relationships with service users, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
• Report any changes in a service user's condition or circumstances to the relevant supervisor.
• Follow Connected Health policies, procedures, Health and Safety requirements and on-call guidance.
• Complete all required documentation, including care records and timesheets.
• Attend induction, training, supervision and team meetings as required.
• Maintain and develop knowledge and skills through ongoing training and experience.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager, following any required training.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
