Job summary

Bay Court Care Home in Largs is seeking a caring Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will support daily living activities including personal care, mobility and nutrition, while upholding dignity and wellbeing.

Full training and ongoing development are provided as part of a welcoming team. The role offers a competitive hourly rate (£13.60), with full-time or part-time hours, PVG, pension, uniform, and generous leave.

• Reliability and positive attitude essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop in care role.
• Experience beneficial but not essential; SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to pursue.

Job description

Located in the picturesque seaside town of Largs, our brand-new, purpose-built home offers luxury living with exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for 80 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to full time & part time hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
