Job summary

Birdston Care Home in Kirkintilloch is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care for residents. You will assist with daily living, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, following individual care plans to support dignity and independence.

The role is 39 hours per week at £13.60 per hour, offering full training and ongoing development in a friendly, supportive team with a safe, spacious environment and beautiful gardens.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 39 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
