Job summary

Buchanan Lodge Care Home in Bearsden is seeking a Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents across Residential, Nursing, Respite and Dementia needs. You will help with daily living, personal care, mobility and nutrition while upholding dignity and wellbeing.

Joining a friendly team, you will follow care plans, monitor changes in residents’ conditions and contribute to a safe, warm environment. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in daily living assistance preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, person-centred care that supports dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Assist residents with daily living including personal care, mobility and nutrition.

Buchanan Lodge Care Home, located in the quiet, leafy suburb of Bearsden in North Glasgow, is a thoughtfully converted former convent offering Residential, Nursing, Respite, and Dementia care for 38- residents. Here, we blend the building's historic charm with modern comforts to create a warm and supportive environment

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour


• Contracted to full time or part time hours per week


• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided


• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
