Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group is looking for a kind, skilled carer to support a gentleman with complex care needs in a home setting. Daily life centers on comfort, safety, and meaningful interaction.

You will assist with tracheostomy and ventilation, PEG feeding, suctioning, and medication administration, while offering companionship and emotional support to the client and his family. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex care needs preferred.
• Ability to manage tracheostomy and ventilator support.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, person-centred care and companionship.
• Assist with tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG feeding, suctioning and medication administration.
• Support client and family emotionally and accompany to appointments.

About the role

We’re looking for a kind, skilled, and attentive carer to support a gentleman with a cuffed tracheostomy who requires 24/7 ventilation, PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and medication administration via gastrostomy. Strong verbal and written English is essential, as he uses a communication tablet. Daily life is calm and home-focused, centred around TV, meaningful conversation, and visits from his wife and children. You’ll provide safe, person-centred care, offer companionship, and support both the client and his family emotionally. This role suits someone confident in managing complex health needs, respectful, patient, and happy to be part of a warm, home environment. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

Whilst training is provided, experience supporting someone with complex care needs would be advantageous, particularly experience with tracheostomy and a ventilator. The role requires support with personal care, respiratory management and escorting to appointments.
