Work Locations

Potters Bar & Surrounds (EN6): Potters Bar, South Mimms, and Darkes Lane.

Borehamwood & Elstree (WD6): Borehamwood and Elstree.

Bushey & Surrounds (WD23): Bushey and Bushey Heath.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the geographical nature of the rounds.

Highly Competitive Pay: £14.70 - £16.50 per hour + 30p per mile.

(Flexible shift patterns including 7 days a week are available to suit your lifestyle. Day shifts: 06:00/07:00 - 14:00, Evening shifts: 14:00 - 22:00/23:00).

Job Description

You'll help vulnerable clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Following personalised care plans designed to promote dignity and respect, your responsibilities will include:

• Medication support (preparation and administration)
• Mobility support (including the safe use of aids and equipment)
• Mealtime support (preparing meals/snacks, and feeding if required)
• Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care)
• Companionship (building meaningful relationships and emotional support)

• Companionship – conversations, activities, outings
• Mobility Assistance – transfers, walking support, use of aids
• Health Monitoring – observing and reporting changes in condition
• Social Inclusion – helping maintain community and family connections
• Emotional Support – empathy, reassurance, and a listening ear
• Safety & Emergency Response – creating safe environments, acting quickly when needed
• Collaboration – working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families

Qualifications

What You'll Need (Besides a Cape!) You don't need formal care experience! The skills you've gained from raising a family, caring for loved ones, or running a household are exactly what makes a brilliant Care Professional. Full, paid training is provided. We're looking for:

• Genuine empathy, compassion, and respect for others
• Reliability, punctuality, and a naturally caring nature
• Patience and active listening skills to truly understand our clients' needs
• Resilience and adaptability - because no two days (or clients!) are exactly the same
• A keen eye for detail to spot any changes in a client's health or well-being
• The ability to use your initiative and stay calm under pressure
• Willingness to learn new skills and participate in continuous training
• Great communication and a collaborative team spirit
