Job summary

Yew Trees Care Home in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, is seeking a Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support residents with daily living, mobility and wellbeing.

You will follow care plans, recognise changes in condition and contribute to a safe, warm and respectful environment. Full training and ongoing development are provided for all staff.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.

• Previous experience beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility and nutrition.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Contribute to residents' emotional wellbeing and dignity.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities and ongoing support.

About Yew Trees Care Home

Yew Trees Care Home is a warm and welcoming care home located in a peaceful residential area of Dukinfield, Tameside, Greater Manchester, providing specialist residential dementia care. With comfortable living spaces, inviting lounges, a lovely garden and a peaceful courtyard, the home offers a friendly and homely atmosphere. Our caring and dedicated team works together to deliver high quality, person centred care, helping Residents feel valued, supported and enjoy meaningful moments every day.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.45 - £13.95 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS] pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
