Job summary

Cathay Care Home in Forres is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. You will follow care plans, recognise changes in condition and contribute to safe, responsive care in a warm, respectful environment.

Open to experienced carers and newcomers; full training and development provided. We offer flexible contracted hours, a £500 Welcome Bonus and a competitive hourly rate of £13.60.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• SVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Previous care experience beneficial but not essential.

Our purpose built care home is situated on the woodland edge of Forres, in the beautiful countryside of Moray. We proudly offer Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 41-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• £500 Welcome Bonus (T & C's apply)
• Contracted to various hours per week - flexible shifts available
• Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
