Job summary

CCH, part of Advantage Healthcare, is hiring a Complex Care Assistant in Birmingham to support a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. The role involves personal care, PEG feeding assistance, seizure management support, and mobility tasks with family involvement.

Full training and paid induction are provided, and you will join a values-driven, people-first team. Candidates should have a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle; epilepsy/complex care experience is advantageous but

Qualifications

• Experience with epilepsy and seizure management is advantageous.
• PEG feeding experience is advantageous.
• Medication administration experience is advantageous.
• Moving and handling equipment experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome with daily living activities.
• Assist with PEG feeding and medication administration as required.
• Provide personal care, mobility support, and transport assistance as needed.

Job Description

What you'll do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more!

This rewarding, person-centred role involves supporting a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, which is a severe form of Epilepsy. He lives with his parents and siblings, enjoys music and sensory and spending time outdoor and with family.

This role will require assistance with PEG feeding, a Vagus Nerve simulator to help with seizure management, washing, dressing, bowel management, medication administration and manual handling with assistance from his family.

The only requirement would be that you will need a full valid UK licence.
