Superior Healthcare in Crawley is seeking a Care Assistant to support children, young people and adults with complex health conditions at home across Crawley and West Sussex. No degree required – we provide full paid training, NVQ/Diploma opportunities and ongoing clinical development, with flexible day and night shifts and opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care including seizure management, PEG feeding, ventilation support, and medication administration.

• Support daily living tasks: communication, meals, hydration, and activities.
• Follow care plans set by the Nurse Manager and raise safeguarding concerns.
• Communicate confidently with clients and document progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

Clinical Care

• Seizure management
• PEG feeding
• Ventilation support
• Medication administration
• Moving and handling
• Personal care

Daily Living Support

• Supporting communication needs
• Assisting with daily routines, meals, and hydration
• Encouraging social engagement, hobbies, and activities
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Using positive behaviour strategies where needed

Flexible Shift Patterns

Day Shifts

8:00am – 8:00pm
Supporting daily routines, care plans, and activities.

Waking Night Shifts

8:00pm – 8:00am
Overnight monitoring, medication, and responsive care.
Higher night rates available.

Flexibility to Suit You

• Full-time: 3–5 shifts per week
• Part-time: minimum 2 shifts per week
• Flexible working patterns
• Additional ad-hoc shifts available across Crawley and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• To follow the client's care plan, as advised by the Nurse Manager.
• To prioritise the client's wellbeing and raise any safeguarding concerns.
• To provide care including personal care, medication administration, moving and handling, seizure management and PEG feeding.

Requirements

• Drivers are not essential, but preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in supporting complex care clients.
• Full Right to Work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
