Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen in Buckley is seeking a friendly Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of care 24/7. Your role includes repositioning, monitoring, and assisting with respiratory needs as part of a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex needs in a home care setting.
• Respiratory management experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of care 24/7.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility and manual handling.
• Monitor skin and tissue viability and manage respiratory needs.
• Administer rescue medications as required.
• Provide oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring as prescribed.
• Implement physiotherapy programme as directed.

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, 8-hour days

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.

Their care needs consist of:

• Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling
• Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication
• Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
• Physiotherapy progamme

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
