Job summary

CCH, Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, Buckley, seeks a friendly Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all care 24/7. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate support in the family home.

Experience caring for children with complex needs in home care is preferred; training is provided, and DBS checks are free. There are opportunities for progression into senior roles with national relocation options and care perks.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting.
• Respiratory management experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all care 24/7.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility and manual handling.
• Manage feeding via jejunostomy/gastrostomy button and medications.
• Monitor skin, tissue viability and respiratory needs.
• Provide oxygen, suctioning, monitoring and rescue interventions.
• Support physiotherapy and daily care activities.

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.

Their care needs consist of:

• Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling
• Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication
• Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
• Physiotherapy progamme

Qualifications

What you’ll need

For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
