Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen in Buckley is seeking a friendly Complex Care Assistant to support a 24/7 dependent child at home. You will handle positioning, mobility, manual handling, monitoring skin, and assist with feeding and medication via jejunostomy and gastrostomy buttons.

Experience caring for children with complex needs in a home setting is preferred; training is provided, including a paid induction and full DBS check funded by us.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex needs in home care.
• Respiratory management experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to undergo DBS check and paid induction.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child 24/7 with complex care needs at home.

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.

Their care needs consist of:

• Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling
• Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication
• Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
• Physiotherapy progamme

Qualifications

What you’ll need

For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
