Job summary

Complete Care Amegreen, part of CCH, is seeking a friendly Complex Care Assistant in Buckley to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of care 24/7.

You will assist with mobility, feeding via Jejunostomy/Gastrostomy, medication administration, skin care, and respiratory support as part of a multidisciplinary team. Training, DBS coverage, and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting.
• Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
• Friendly and communicative approach required for 24/7 care.

Responsibilities

• Support a young child who is fully dependent for all care 24/7.
• Assist with repositioning, mobility, and manual handling.
• Administer medication via feeding tubes and monitor skin integrity.
• Monitor oxygen, suctioning, and saturation; respond to respiratory needs.
• Follow a physiotherapy programme as prescribed.

Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a friendly and communicative Complex Care Assistant to support a young child who is fully dependent for all aspects of their care 24/7.

Their care needs consist of:

• Repositioning, mobility requirements and manual handling
• Dual Jejunostomy and Gastrostomy Button for feeding and administering medication
• Monitoring of skin and tissue viability
• Complex Epilepsy and Dystonia, requiring rescue medication
• Oxygen, suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Respiratory requirements, interventions of bag and mask, oxygen and stimulation. This can be multiple times per day.
• Physiotherapy progamme

Qualifications

What you’ll need

For this role, you would be required to have experience caring for children with complex requirements in a home care setting. Experience in respiratory management would be beneficial.
