Job summary

Willowbrook Care Home in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with dementia, mental health conditions and complex needs. You will provide safe, person-centred care, promote dignity and wellbeing, and work with the team to follow individual care plans.

This hands-on role requires patience and resilience; shifts include day and night hours, with DBS paid, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking.

Job description

Willowbrook Care Home is a specialist service in Birmingham, providing high quality care for up to 75 residents living with dementia, mental health conditions and complex needs. The home delivers clinically led, person centred care within a structured and supportive environment, promoting independence, stability and overall wellbeing.

Care Assistant Contract
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 40.25 hours per week
  • Day shifts and night shifts available
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.

This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.
