Bowood Court Care Home is a modern residential, dementia and respite care home in Redditch, Worcestershire. Our dedicated team delivers person-centred care to support independence and wellbeing.

As Care Assistant you will help with personal care, mobility and daily living, follow care plans, monitor wellbeing and keep accurate records, while staying respectful and compassionate. The role includes weekend shifts on a rotating pattern and benefits such as DBS, pension and uniform.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living according to care plans.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and maintain accurate care records.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist with meals and outings.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment; follow safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Work alternate weekends as required.

Job description

Bowood Court & Mews Care Home is a modern residential, dementia and respite care home in Redditch, Worcestershire. With beautifully designed living spaces, sensory gardens and a vibrant programme of activities, our dedicated team creates a welcoming environment where residents are supported to enjoy every day.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.85 per hour
• Contracted to 33-44 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
• Ongoing training, development and career progression within a supportive and rewarding care environment.

Role Overview

As Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

You will support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living, while following individual care plans and responding sensitively to their physical, emotional and social needs. You will monitor residents' wellbeing, promptly report any changes in condition and maintain accurate care records to support safe, consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will encourage residents to participate in activities, assist with meals, accompany them on appointments and outings where required, and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will follow Health & Safety, infection prevention and safeguarding procedures, ensuring residents remain at the heart of everything you do.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous care or care home experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this qualification. The Care Certificate must be completed within the first three months if not already achieved.
