Job summary

Alderbrook Care Home in Leeds is seeking a Care Assistant to support residents with complex needs, including dementia and long-term health challenges. This hands-on role focuses on safe, person-centred care that promotes dignity and wellbeing.

You will work with the wider team, follow care plans and routines, and build trusting relationships with residents. Full-time hours are available across days and nights, with DBS paid and benefits including pension, uniform, and onsite parking.

Qualifications

Job description

Alderbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose built care home located in Leeds, providing specialist Complex Care for up to 140 residents. The home supports individuals with complex physical and mental health needs within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

Care Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Full Time
• Dayshift & Nightshift Available
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided and onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will support individuals with a range of complex needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions and other long term health challenges. Your role is to provide safe, consistent and person centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans and support structured routines, helping to create a calm, stable and supportive environment. You will build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and responding appropriately to changes in behaviour or wellbeing.

This is a hands on role that requires patience, resilience and a calm approach, supporting both the physical and emotional needs of residents while ensuring care is delivered safely and consistently at all times.

• Previous experience in care or mental health is beneficial but not essential
