Job summary

Westerton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Care Assistant to support residents with daily living while upholding dignity and wellbeing.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional support, ensuring safe, respectful care. The role welcomes experienced carers and newcomers, with full training and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living tasks including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.

• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity in a warm, respectful environment.

Job description

Our modern care home provides the highest quality of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 106 residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 22 - 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, Paid SSSC, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives every day. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
