Job summary

Belsize Healthcare’s Dounemount Care Home in Scotland is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents with daily living, personal care and emotional wellbeing, following care plans to ensure dignity and safety. This role offers full training and ongoing development within a warm, supportive team where teamwork and kindness are valued, and where residents feel truly cared for.

Salary is £13.60 per hour for 33 hours per week, with PVG paid, pension, uniform provided and 5.6 weeks

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience beneficial but not essential; SVQ2 desirable.

Care Assistant Contract

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing. You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
