Total Community Care in Taunton is seeking a caring, flexible support worker to assist a gentleman with a spinal cord injury. You’ll help with rehabilitation, daily activities and social outings, providing companionship and promoting independence.
No formal qualifications or prior experience required—full training, shadowing, and team support are provided to help you develop in the role and grow into leadership opportunities.
Shifts:Bank to cover contingency and annual leave. Days and Sleep Nights.
Driver required:Yes - full UK licence and access to your own vehicle

What you’ll do
You’ll be joining a team supporting a Gentleman with a spinal cord injury who never allows the fact that he is a full-time wheelchair user to limit his ambition to live life to the full. From supporting him with his rehabilitation through daily physio and exercise programmes to supporting daily activities and trips out.
You are a caring, reliable and flexible person who relishes variety. No need for relevant qualifications or experience - full training will be given, including shift shadowing and support from team mates.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals to join our dedicated support team, working with a gentleman living with a spinal cord injury. This rewarding role involves assisting with his ongoing rehabilitation, including daily physiotherapy and structured exercise programmes, as well as supporting him with day-to-day activities and social outings.
You’ll play a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and quality of life, while becoming part of a friendly and committed care team.
