Job summary

Total Community Care in Taunton is seeking caring individuals to join our Complex Care team. You will join a dedicated group supporting a gentleman with a spinal cord injury, helping him pursue daily activities, rehabilitation, and life with purpose.

You will assist with rehabilitation exercises and daily tasks, participate in outings, and benefit from full training and DBS support. The role welcomes compassionate, flexible people and offers a stable entry into care careers.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain and complete DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support a gentleman with a spinal cord injury with rehabilitation and daily activities.
• Assist with daily physiotherapy and structured exercise programmes and accompany social outings.

Location: Taunton

Pay: Up to £16.90 per hour

Shifts: Bank to cover contingency and annual leave. Days and Sleep Nights.

Driver required: Yes - full UK licence and access to your own vehicle

Job Description

What you’ll do

You’ll be joining a team supporting a Gentleman with a spinal cord injury who never allows the fact that he is a full-time wheelchair user to limit his ambition to live life to the full. From supporting him with his rehabilitation through daily physio and exercise programmes to supporting daily activities and trips out.

You are a caring, reliable and flexible person who relishes variety. No need for relevant qualifications or experience - full training will be given, including shift shadowing and support from team mates.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for compassionate, proactive individuals to join our dedicated support team, working with a gentleman living with a spinal cord injury. This rewarding role involves assisting with his ongoing rehabilitation, including daily physiotherapy and structured exercise programmes, as well as supporting him with day-to-day activities and social outings.

You’ll play a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and quality of life, while becoming part of a friendly and committed care team.
