Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care in Milton Keynes is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to shape exceptional care and support new carers from interview to onboarding. You will coach, guide and uplift your team while helping the branch maintain quality, compliance and meaningful relationships with customers.

This role blends branch leadership with hands-on care coaching, ensuring high standards and a people‑centred approach across visits and training activities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• A keen eye for detail and confidence in maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• A people‑first mindset – calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person‑centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on‑call duties in line with the branch rota.
