Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to coach and guide our carers from their first interview through onboarding. You will help maintain quality, compliance and strong relationships with customers, delivering care with purpose and real impact.

You will train, mentor and support new carers, ensure branch compliance and documentation, and conduct spot checks to uphold high standards across the team. A full UK driving licence and a people-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• Full, clean UK driving licence with access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive approach to teamwork.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and quality standards.
• People-first mindset; calm, kind, and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
