Job summary

Gloucester Charities Trust is seeking a Care and Support Assistant (nights) at Guild House to support older people, including those with dementia, during 7pm–7am shifts. You’ll help residents with daily activities, promote engagement, and work within individualized care plans to ensure comfort, safety and wellbeing.

The role requires caring, compassionate individuals with experience in adult care and a willingness to gain NVQ/QCF 2 or Care Certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult care is required.
• Ability to provide care with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents during nights with compassion.
• Support residents to live as independently as possible.
• Follow care plans and maintain dignity and respect for all residents.

Care and Support Assistant Nights – Guild House 42hrs

Care and Support Assistant (nights) – £12.74 per hour, (increasing to £13.00 after medications training), plus £1.00 per hour at weekends

42 hours per week (two week rota average) – 7pm to 7am (3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the other).

At Guild House residential home we specialise in supporting older people, living with or without dementia, to live full and independent lives where possible. Our care and lifestyle plans are tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents which makes this a varied role, with opportunities to a make positive impact through enabling residents to live well and engage with activities, family and friends.

We are looking for someone who is caring and compassionate with experience in care work who will ensure that our residents are at the heart of everything and always treated with respect and dignity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing adult care, and have or be willing to achieve a NVQ/QCF 2 in Health and Social Care or the Care Certificate.
