Job summary

Gloucester Charities Trust is seeking a Catering Assistant for Magdalen House, a 29-bed residential care home in Gloucester. The role covers food preparation, delivery, kitchen cleaning, and occasional assistance to residents with meals. 40 hours per week or two 20-hour positions with an average two-week rota, including every other weekend.

You should have some catering knowledge. We offer a generous benefits package, training, and on-site parking. We do not sponsor employment.

• Ability to assist residents with meals and maintain hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and delivery to residents.
• Kitchen cleaning and sanitising work areas.

Catering Assistant – 40hrs or 20hrs Magdalen House

Gloucester Charities Trust

Catering Assistant –£12.74per hour, plus £1.00 per hour at weekends

40hrs (or two positions of 20hrs) per week (2 week rota average). Required to work every other weekend.

Magdalen House (our 29-bed home) is a beautifully presented Residential Care Home for older people.

This is a great opportunity to join the Trust. This role will include various tasks from food preparation, food delivery, kitchen cleaning and occasionally assisting residents to eat. Some catering knowledge desirable. Join our team who work together to support residents with varying nutrition and hydration needs, some living with dementia.
