Care and Support Assistant at McCarthy Stone

McCarthy Stone is seeking a professional Care and Support Assistant to join their team at the stunning estate Bowes Lyon Court in Poundbury, Dorset.

Base Salary: £11.58 per hour plus additional pay (see below)

About the role

As a Care and Support Assistant, you will provide high-quality individual care to residents, enabling them to enjoy later life. You will support with housekeeping, domestic tasks, and encourage residents to participate in activities promoting their health and wellbeing. Your duties include helping with appointments, arranging transport, escorting residents on visits, and assisting with shopping. Every day offers variety and the chance to make a positive difference using your people skills.

About you

• You are a warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in care or support environments.
• You have a passion for enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy teamwork in a busy setting.
• You are committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• You are interested in working in the Health and Social Care sector, preferably holding a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Adults), though relevant experience or alternative qualifications will be considered.
