Job summary

Rochcare is seeking an attentive Activity Coordinator in Burnley to help residents live meaningful, active lives. You’ll plan daily activities, liaise with community groups, and support people with memory or mobility needs while promoting independence.

The role is full time, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, with some evenings and weekends; wage is £12.92 per hour. You’ll join a family‑run team committed to compassionate care and ongoing training, with benefits including pension, parking and development

Qualifications

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Good English, numeracy and writing skills.
• Ability to understand and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage own schedule with daily activities and seasonal events.
• Collaborate with local community groups and external activity providers.
• Support residents to stay active and independent within mobility/health constraints.
• Use initiative and imagination to help residents succeed at familiar tasks.
• Build and maintain relationships with residents and families through good communication.
• Encourage participation in physical exercises and activities to improve strength and dexterity.
• Complete and maintain daily records of social engagement and activities.
