Job summary

NHS Grampian invites applications for a Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) or Trainee SCP in the Cardiothoracic Service at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Applicants should be registered healthcare professionals with post-registration experience; a comprehensive training programme is provided.

• Masters qualification in Surgical Care Practice or equivalent
• Evidence of advanced clinical skills and good communication

Responsibilities

• Contribute to assessment, treatment and ongoing management of cardiothoracic surgical patients.
• Provide peri-operative care including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative assistance and post-operative management.
• Support delivery of safe, timely care for elective and emergency procedures.
