Job summary

Strata Consulting is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead its Cardiff Structures team, shaping the direction of a diverse project portfolio and delivering high-quality structural solutions. The role focuses on leadership, client relationship development and mentoring a growing team, with autonomy from day one.

You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary group, influencing project strategy, resource planning and delivery from concept through to completion while

Qualifications

• Significant structural engineering experience within a UK consultancy environment.
• Proven experience leading structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Experience mentoring engineers and coordinating team resources.
• Strong client-facing skills to build and maintain lasting professional relationships.
• Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and design software.
• Chartered Engineer status with IStructE/ICE, or close to achieving it.
