Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a Band 5 Cardiac Physiologist to contribute to the Cardiac Physiology Service at Royal Brompton Hospital. You will perform and assist in a range of non-invasive and invasive cardio investigations, working independently and as part of a team.

The role also involves training and mentoring trainee Cardiac Physiologists and associated practitioners, participating in external and in-house training programmes, and contributing to clinical

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) either PTP or BSc (Hons).
• Essential: RCCP, ACHS registered.
• Desirable: Intermediate Life Support (ILS).
• Desirable: SCST qualification or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Participates to a high level of competency in non-invasive and invasive cardiac physiology.
• Interprets technical data from patient investigations and prepares reports for a specialist.
• Monitors ECG during investigations where patient is at risk and responds to rhythm changes/arrest.
• Assists in moving patients and cleaning clinics/catheter laboratories after procedures.
• Organises patient appointments for non-invasive tests and reschedules failures to attend.
• Trains in Immediate Life Support (ILS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
