Job summary

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse with cardiology experience to join our cardiac team. The role covers pre-assessment, procedural and post-procedural care for day-case cardiac procedures, including pacemaker insertions, angiograms and trans oesophageal echocardiography.

You will work with mentors in a supportive environment, with ongoing development opportunities. The lab operates Monday to Friday 08:00–18:00.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current professional registration (NMC).
• Experience in cardiology nursing or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and ability to work autonomously within a team.

Responsibilities

• Pre-assessment, procedural and post-procedural care for day-case cardiac procedures.
• Support for pacemaker insertions, angiograms, TEE, loop implants/explants and dobutamine stress echos.
• Work with mentors and participate in ongoing professional development.
