Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Cardiac Nurse to join the Arrhythmia Specialist Nurse team at Peterborough City Hospital. You will work within a busy service offering device/arrhythmia care, nurse-led clinics and DC cardioversion, collaborating with cardiology teams to deliver evidence‑based care.

The role demands substantial cardiology/arrhythmia experience and the ability to work autonomously, with a potential Band 6 development opportunity for the right

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration and UK nursing eligibility.
• Post-registration qualifications in cardiology/arrhythmia preferred.
• Advanced Life Support certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to pursue master's level study and arrhythmia qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with arrhythmias in acute/clinic settings.
• Deliver education and information to patients and families.
• Coordinate patient journeys and referrals to electrophysiology teams.
• Lead nurse-led AF clinics and assist in DC cardioversion cases.
• Collaborate with Cardiac Physiology and Cath lab teams to plan care.
