Allen & York are partnering with One Carbon World, a carbon-neutral, not-for-profit organization based in 32 countries. Recognized by the UNFCCC and a partner of the Climate Neutral Now Initiative, One Carbon World aims to make carbon accounting accessible to all businesses.

We are seeking an exceptional Carbon Scientist to join their dedicated team. The ideal candidate will hold at least an MSc in environmental science, ecology, forestry, or a related field, with extensive experience in GIS analysis, MRV protocol development for farm/forest-based carbon measurement, and remote-sensing systems. Familiarity with IPCC Guidelines for Greenhouse Gas Inventories and model development to estimate carbon stock changes is essential. You should be skilled in analyzing large datasets, applying mathematical models like allometry, and have research experience in forestry and soil ecosystems, with knowledge of standards such as LSRG, SBTi FLAG, and VERRA.

This role is fully remote but requires international travel and attendance at the UN COP conference. You will have the opportunity to impact the organization’s growth and collaborate with experts in the field.
