Job summary

Jago Consultants in Worthing, UK, is seeking an experienced Parts Advisor to join a fast-growing automotive dealership. You will identify customer needs for parts, advise on promotions, and deliver outstanding service to both trade and retail customers.

You will receive stock allocations, record transactions, liaise with suppliers and the manufacturer, and keep displays up to date. The role offers a pension, performance bonus and benefits package to support your career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a parts/automotive role is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Well organised with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs for parts through conversation and diagnosis.
• Inform customers about promotions and offers.
• Provide exceptional customer service to external and internal customers.
• Receive, record and allocate parts from suppliers.
• Report stock damages or losses and assist stock checks.
• Maintain manufacturer displays and abide by department procedures.
• Develop knowledge through manufacturer training.

Salary – up to £26,000 basic – (depending on experience) OTE £30,000

The successful candidate ideally will have previous experience as a Parts Advisor and proven customer service experience skills.

Parts Advisor job duties include:

• Establishing customers’ needs for required parts through conversations, diagnosis and recommendations as appropriate.
• Communicating relevant promotions and offers to customers.
• Delivering exceptional customer service to external and internal customers.
• Receiving, recording and allocating parts and consumables from suppliers.
• Reporting any stock damages or losses.
• Assisting parts stock checks.
• Liaising and maintaining a brilliant working relationship with the manufacturer;
• Being fully conversant with procedures within the parts department;
• Maintaining and updating displays as per manufacturer requirements.
