Hawk Hiring in Clevedon is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy main dealer aftersales workshop. Work in a modern, high-spec franchise environment with access to fully funded manufacturer training and a generous weekend rota.

Based in Clevedon, you will perform servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs to brand standards using high-spec tools, while enjoying long-term stability in a family-run group with over 60 years' history.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (preferred).
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic in a garage.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and safety inspections to brand standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults with factory tools.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and achieve first-time fixes where possible.
• Work efficiently within scheduled timescales to keep the workshop running smoothly.
• Participate in brand training and collaborate with teammates.

Your Day-to-Day

Working as a core member of our technical team in Clevedon, you will:

• Carry out routine manufacturer servicing, safety inspections, and complex mechanical repairs to strict brand standards.
• Use high-spec factory diagnostic tools and software to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical, electrical, and mechanical faults.
• Maintain clean, precise, and methodical workmanship to deliver high-quality, "first-time fix" results on every vehicle.
• Work productively within given timescales to keep the workshop running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
• Take an active part in specialized brand training and work alongside a team of expert technicians.

What You Bring to the Table

• The Credentials: You must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry-recognized automotive qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred).
• The Experience: A proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Technician in a professional garage setting.
• The Mindset: A motivated, dedicated professional with high attention to detail, a customer-focused mindset, and a team-player attitude.
• The Basics: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
