Job summary

RBC in London is seeking an Associate Business Analyst to support RAMPP initiatives within Capital Markets. You will work with trading desks and technology teams to define risk aggregation and reporting requirements, coordinate testing, and deliver target solutions.

This is a permanent, full-time role with four days in the office in London. You will elicit requirements, document processes, build analytics dashboards, and leverage Python and SQL to deliver practical insights for risk management

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree coupled with a proven track record in business analysis.
• Experience in capital markets settings (bank or financial institution).
• Strong understanding of asset classes in risk and P&L terms for trading desks.
• Proficient programming in Java or Python.
• Ability to build and analyse complex SQL queries and troubleshoot performance.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and analyse business requirements; create documentation such as current and future state processes, user stories, data catalogues and business rules.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify risks and issues, escalate where appropriate.
• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and implement deliverables.
• Build strong relationships with business units to influence stakeholders.
• Utilise AI tools to increase efficiency and deliver end-state reporting with in-house tools and Python.
• Standardise cross-asset risk analytics and dashboards with Quants, Trading and Market Risk teams.
