Job summary

Bank of England, Leeds, seeks an experienced capital specialist to join the Capital Assessment Team. You will combine technical capital assessment with prudential analysis and engage with senior stakeholders to influence regulatory decisions.

You will lead ICAAP reviews, assess capital risks, and contribute to capital planning across UK banks and building societies, helping ensure resilience amid changing economic conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or prudential regulation.
• Knowledge of banking capital, capital adequacy concepts and ICAAP.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across audiences.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders such as CFOs or Board committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICAAP reviews and capital planning framework assessments.
• Assess risks to firms' capital positions and provide recommendations.
• Deliver qualitative and quantitative analysis of business models and resilience.
• Engage with senior executives and Board members, providing technical challenge.
• Prepare evidence-based assessments for senior decision-making forums.
• Support implementation of Basel 3.1 reforms and related capital developments.
