Job summary

Bank of England, Leeds-based, is seeking an experienced capital specialist to join the Capital Assessment Team. You will lead ICAAP reviews, assess capital positions and resilience, and engage with senior stakeholders to inform regulatory capital decisions.

The role offers exposure to Basel 3.1 reforms and evolving capital frameworks, contributing to a robust capital regime for UK banks and building societies. A strong analytical background and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, prudential regulation or related environment.
• Knowledge of banking, financial risk management, prudential regulation or capital adequacy concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial information.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICAAP reviews and wider capital planning frameworks.
• Assess key risks to firms' capital positions and provide recommendations for regulatory decisions.
• Deliver qualitative and quantitative analysis of firms' business models and resilience.
• Engage with senior executives and Board members, discussing capital positions and risk profiles.
• Produce clear assessments and present findings to senior colleagues.
