Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (CAP/LOLER) in Basildon. The role blends workshop repairs and on-site LOLER examinations, with most work around London/the home counties and some UK travel.

Salary is £40,000–£45,000 with £55,000 OTE, plus a company van (private use), fuel card, tech package and manufacturer training. CAP and IPAF certificates are essential; strong communication skills are needed for client-facing duties and paperwork.

Qualifications

• CAP Certificate and IPAF Certificate required.
• Willingness to lodge if traveling further afield.
• Proven experience in similar field service role.

Responsibilities

• Complete LOLER examinations on customer sites across the UK.
• Service and refurbish access equipment (scissors, booms, narrow access platforms).
• Perform pre-delivery inspections.
• Undertake on-site LOLER inspections, servicing and repairs.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed clearly and communicated to customers.
