Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for an Operations and Performance Manager in the Cancer Centre. You will lead clinical and administrative teams, translate performance data into action, and drive improvements to cancer waiting times and patient pathways.

Working with clinical leaders, you will ensure delivery of national standards, manage budgets, and support governance, training and development to sustain high quality cancer care.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Leadership and management training completed.
• Project management experience with ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in NHS management and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and MDT teams within the cancer centre.
• Deliver appraisal and oversee mandatory training.
• Support cancer performance validation and waiting times guidance.
• Ensure governance across audit, incidents, risk and health and safety.
• Be responsible for delegated budgets and operational performance.
• Represent the Cancer Centre Manager as required.
