Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Active Health Co‑Ordinator to deliver wellbeing programmes and initiatives offered by Sport and Physical Activity. This role focuses on promoting physical activity to support our university community and improving wellbeing across campus.

Based primarily at Goodwin Sports Centre, you may work at other sites, collaborating with departments to deliver sessions and workshops for students and staff. This is part of the Student Academic Services team.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Level 3 Exercise Referral Qualification.
• Qualified to REP’s Personal Trainer Qualification.
• Experience designing personal programmes and conducting gym inductions whilst motivating and supporting clients to achieve their goals.
• Experience of working with clients who may present with anxiety, stress/depression.
• Experience of working in a sport and physical activity industry.
• Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellbeing sessions and tailored exercise programmes.
• Conduct initial consultations and assess mental wellbeing.
• Maintain detailed client documentation and progress notes.
• Communicate with referral partners and stakeholders.
• Work toward KPIs and service improvement via data collection.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
