Job summary

Aberystwyth University invites applications for Trading & Hospitality Assistants. The role supports the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, delivering customer-focused hospitality across cafes, bars, shops and events. Hours are flexi-d across campus; candidates must be adaptable to evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a relevant hospitality environment as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills to receive and convey information.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Ability to work unsupervised when required.
• Oral and written Welsh at level A1 or commitment to learn Welsh.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Be knowledgeable about products, prices, allergens and provenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, serveries and customer areas.
• Restock front-of-house areas and display food items as directed.
• Follow HACCP, COSHH and health and safety policies; attend team meetings.
• Work in line with university policies and perform related duties.
