Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a proactive Porter to join our Facilities Management team at the University of Greenwich, Greenwich Campus. The role supports moving, setting up spaces, deliveries, and event support across the campus to keep environments welcoming and efficient.

Ideal candidates will have a positive, customer-focused attitude, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A full driving license (Luton vans) and flexibility for shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in portering, facilities, logistics, housekeeping, hospitality, warehouse or customer service.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles, including Luton vans (desirable).
• Willing to occasionally support outside normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Moving furniture, equipment, materials and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the delivery and collection of mail across campus.
• Assisting with stock, equipment and supplier deliveries.
• Setting up teaching spaces, meeting rooms and event venues.
• Supporting university events with room preparations and resource deployment.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of designated internal and external areas.
• Assisting with waste collection and removal activities.
• Delivering excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.
• Working closely with colleagues across Sodexo and the University.
• Following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures at all times.
• Supporting the wider Facilities team with additional duties when required.
