Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a University Porter to support campus operations, helping to create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff, students and visitors.

The role covers porterage and cleaning support across the campus, including room setups for classes and exams, moving furniture, and assisting with events such as graduation days and open days. Full uniform is supplied and health and safety training is provided.

Qualifications

• 3 years Porterage experience
• Manual Handling certificate (preferred)
• Full uniform supplied

Responsibilities

• Empty general waste and recycling bins on campus and remove to external bin areas
• Unlocking, locking and setting up of meeting rooms
• Ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely
• Assist with setting up classrooms and examination rooms
• Move and reposition furniture and equipment across the campus
• Assist at events such as graduation days and open days
• Receive and deliver mail within the campus
• Operate trucks, trolleys and pallet trucks
• Use carpet cleaners, burnishers and wet vacs
• Report faults to the Team Leader and follow safety regulations
• Undertake health and safety training and be prepared for further training
