Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, seeks a Security Officer for Coventry University. The role involves patrols, incident response, and acting as a visible security presence across campus. Candidates must have an SIA Door Supervisor licence and a full UK driving licence.

Shifts include days, nights, and weekends with a rolling pattern. You will work from the control room, patrol the estate, and support emergencies and student safety initiatives on site.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor certification is required.
• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Must be physically fit and capable of patrolling on foot.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and ad-hoc foot and vehicle patrols across the University estate.
• Present a high-profile, reassuring presence during operations and out-of-hours to protect students, staff and visitors.
• Lock/unlock university locations and assist in end-of-day clearances.
• Respond to fire and intruder alarm activations and trigger emergency procedures.
• Attend emergencies (theft, assault, fire, accident) and respond to calls from students, visitors, or staff.
• Provide rapid responses to call requests from campus personnel.
