Job summary

New College Swindon is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to help keep people safe and support day-to-day college operations.

The role is permanent, part-time and term-time only, offering 14.8 hours per week across 41 weeks per year, with pro rata pay (£9,043–£9,452) and a full-time equivalent up to £29,574.

You will monitor the site, respond to incidents, conduct checks, maintain records and work closely with students, staff and contractors to uphold safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, site, facilities or similar environment.
• Reliable, vigilant and approachable to safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.

• Support safety and security of students, staff and visitors.
• Monitor the site and respond to security concerns or incidents.
