Job summary

Nescot is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe campus environment. The role requires 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday on a rotating schedule between 8:45am and 9:15pm, with occasional weekends.

Duties include reception duties at the Old Reception, campus patrols, and rapid assessment of incidents to safeguard students and staff. The successful candidate will work independently, demonstrate initiative, and be committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working alone and using your initiative with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Understanding and awareness of current security environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build appropriate and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for our students, staff and visitors.
• Quickly Assess situations and take appropriate actions.
• Provision of reception service at the Old Reception.
• Carrying out regular internal and external patrols.
• Carrying out investigations, or searches, as directed by the College management.
