Job summary

Chelmsford College is seeking a Campus Officer (Term Time) to help maintain safe campuses and high‑quality environments for learners and staff. You will monitor public areas, perform patrols, oversee CCTV and access control, and support a positive campus culture in close liaison with Curriculum and Student Support teams.

The ideal candidate will have a security background, an SIA front line licence, and be first aid trained or willing to undertake training. Closing date: 8 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar security role is preferred.
• Knowledge of standard security and safety protocols.
• First aid training or willingness to undertake the relevant training.
• Commitment to equality and safeguarding of learners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor campuses to ensure safety and security across all sites.
• Conduct regular patrols of campuses and monitor CCTV and access control.
• Support and promote positive learner behaviours in liaison with Curriculum and Student Support teams.
• Report any breaches of the Code of Conduct and cooperate with relevant college departments.
